2015 Green Mountain Comedy Festival

Vermont’s only improv comedy podcast creates hilarious scenes and characters on the spot. In this special live taping of Improv Vermont, Vermont performers will create live comedy based on audience suggestions. And it’s FREE! Reservations are recommended.

Six Vermont comedians tear through their best jokes in this rapid-fire standup showcase. You'll see a range of styles and get plenty of bang for your buck - it's a quick moving, entertaining night with some of Vermont's best and brightest stand up stars! Let’s get weird! The Oddballs Show is a one-of-a-kind showcase that features some of the most unique characters in the Vermont comedy scene. This year, the show will be headlined by Taylor Scribner and his one man show, “Island of the Misfit Boy.” There’s no other show like this on the festival. Guaranteed.

Friday night is a great night to let loose, as the Vermont Comedy Divas bring their acclaimed brand of standup comedy to the Hilton Garden Inn. Founded in 2006 by Josie Leavitt, this all-female touring group is a staple of the Vermont comedy scene.

On Friday night, the big show at Metronome is Apollo, the very funny, very successful long form improv team from New York City. Apollo has performed weekly at Harold Night at Upright Citizens Brigade, the premiere improv theater in NYC (which has launched the careers of Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz, Kate McKinnon, and many other Saturday Night Live alums). Apollo's members have written for and appeared on MTV, The Onion, McSweeney's, HuffPo and many more. Don't miss this fast-paced, entirely improvised show!

One of our most popular shows every year on the festival. We pull unusual “missed connection” classifieds (“iSpys”) from a hat. Sharp-witted performers from Upright Citizen’s Brigade and Vermont Comedy Club use them to build fast paced and hilarious scenes on the spot. Not to be missed!
