Local comedians Will Betts and Chicky Winkleman started a podcast to discuss Vermont life, art, and culture. The two hosts and a special guest will chat about current issues in the 14th State, tell stories, and play fun games. Best of all: it’s FREE! Reservations are recommended.

SPARK IMPROV TROUPE

Vermont’s premier improv comedy team kicks off the first night of the festival with an uproariously funny show at Hotel Vermont, improvised on the spot and based entirely on audience suggestions. Formed in 2011, Spark Improv Troupe is made up of some of the quickest minds in the Green Mountain State, and has performed at First Night in Burlington, and at nightclubs, private parties, corporate events and festivals across New England.

VERMONT COMEDY DIVAS

Opening night of the festival kicks off with a bang, as the Vermont Comedy Divas bring their acclaimed brand of standup comedy to Club Metronome. Founded in 2006 by Josie Leavitt, this all-female touring group is a staple of the Vermont comedy scene.
